Sprayed Polyurethane Foam or SPF is the ultimate in insulation products. It WORKS. The purpose of insulating is to prevent the outside air from coming inside, and the inside air from escaping outside. SPF is not affected by air or moisture movement… studies prove that SPF provides a water, air and moisture barrier all in one application. To eliminate condensation also eliminates the resulting mold and mildew problems so prevalent in residential and commercial buildings today. The closed cell SPF that we use is sprayed by the inch, hardens in 7 seconds and cures in 2 hours. There is never any off gassing and the polyurethane foam lasts INDEFINITELY. SPF must be applied by certified applicators – trained specialists.

SPF drastically reduces heating and cooling costs because it works. It maintains its durable properties for the lifetime of the building. Adding up to 300% shear strength, it reduces long term maintenance and increases the life of the building.

SPF will not shrink or settle -- and being rigid, it will make the walls or ceilings or whatever it is sprayed on, more durable and strong. At average of 7 Rs per inch, R21 is easily achieved in 2x4 walls and R35 in a 2x6 ceiling. When figured in at the planning stage, building costs can be reduced significantly, as well as the size of heating and cooling systems.

When applied in vaulted ceilings, no venting is required. Venting was designed to carry out moisture from the fibrous insulation (fiberglass), which depended on dead air to make the insulation work. With SPF, there IS NO MOISTURE, thus, no venting needed. Outside stays outside.
